Center for Archaeological Studies (CAS) organised a  week long event titled Bhitargarh Utsab 2017 from March 11 to 17, 2017 at Bhitargarh, Panchagarh with the utmost support of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and funded by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The main objective of this event was to circulate the importance of Bhitargarh archaeological site and its cultural diversity in the wider community. Local people participated in the various events of the festival and were surrounded by many enthusiastic visitors who came from near and far. The students of Experiencing the Past course presented their experience and findings to ULABians and other guests on this day at the Campus A auditorium. The seminar was organised by CAS and the students of the course, led by Dr. Husne Jahan, Professor of ULAB and Director of CAS. Syeda Nishita Aurnab, research associate of CAS, also presented a paper on a famous queen of ancient Egypt. The seminar was attended by the Vice Chancellor of ULAB and various other scholars and distinguished guests.
